2 officers injured after crash on Gratiot🚨

Two Detroit police officers and two civilians were injured after a crash Saturday evening at Gratiot near E. 7 Mile.

Officials say the officers were attempting to make a left turn when a black pickup truck ran a red light and struck their scout car. One officer was transported to the hospital by EMS, another by a DPD unit. A civilian was also transported by EMS after being extricated, while another civilian in the SUV declined treatment.

All were taken to St. John Hospital. None of the injuries are considered life-threatening.

Police say the crash remains under investigation, but the pickup truck driver ran a red light before impact.
