Attorney David Schoen revealed Thursday what his client, Jeffrey Epstein, allegedly said about Donald Trump just days before Epstein’s death by suicide.
Schoen’s revelation, which came in the form of an X post, came as tensions flared between business mogul Elon Musk and President Donald Trump, as the two publicly clashed after Musk openly criticized the Republican Party’s proposed One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB). At one point on Thursday, Musk essentially accused Trump of withholding the release of the Epstein files because Trump is allegedly in them.
Musk later tweeted out a video of President Trump speaking with Jeffrey Epstein at a Mar-a-Lago party in 1992 with NFL cheerleaders. Schoen, who served as Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal defense attorney just nine days before Epstein’s death in August 2019, has now gone public with what Epstein allegedly said about Trump. According to Schoen, Epstein told him he had nothing inappropriate or damaging on the future president.
“I was hired to lead Jeffrey Epstein’s defense as his criminal lawyer 9 days before he died. He sought my advice for months before that. I can say authoritatively, unequivocally, and definitively that he had no information to hurt President Trump. I specifically asked him!” the attorney wrote on the X platform.
Schoen then followed up that tweet on X with a retweet of Roger Stone, adding, “I can tell you unequivocally as someone who would know that President Trump never did anything wrong with Jeffrey Epstein.”
Several opined on social media that Schoen’s account makes sense, given that any details about Trump behaving badly or in some illegal sexual manner involving underage girls would have been leaked years ago.
